Human beings greatest asset is health. If a person does not have a good health, he or she cannot be happy. A person who is financially very affluent can enjoy his life only if he is healthy and fit.
Obesity is considered as one of the most preventable disease. Nowadays from the childhood a child is going through an unhealthy life style which is causing obesity. From the tender age a child is so much pressurized with studies that they are unable to play in the evening. So, they do not lose their energy. And fast food has become a regular food habit among children. For this reason juvenile diabetes has become a common disease among youngsters. Of course genetic disorder, after effect of certain medicine too sometimes contributes of Obesity. Being obese makes a fitness plan or weight loss diet program challenging.
So, excess fat in body brings complication like thyroid, osteoarthritis, cardiac problems etc. Fat people cannot move easily. It even affects a child’s studies, because they are full of lethargy. They do not want to sit or stand for longtime. If they get a chance they lie down.

Many institutions and yoga centers have come up to help people lose weight, supporting with CDs, books, lotions, medicines etc. Teenagers are very much attracted to these institutions, as because they want to look slim and beautiful. Why teenagers, almost everybody is desperate to be in proper shape. These days modeling industry has become very popular. To join this industry the foremost thing one requires is – a perfect figure. Apart from joining these institutions people are taking great care at home too by taking a low calories balanced diet enriched in protein, vitamin, calcium etc. Swimming is a very good exercise to lose weight and it is hassle free too. On many television channels they are showing different type of equipments which help to lose weight. Sometimes Discovery Channel too telecast very informative programs on how to lose weight in a very interesting way, which the children would enjoy very much.
All said and done, one thing to be kept in mind is whether obesity and weight loss is becoming an obsession in modern world? Another interesting thing is that development of a nation and obesity seems to have a link in the sense that the issue is major one in developed countries. But in the poor and underdeveloped countries there are more burning issues like providing basic amenities to the population than obesity. People who are underfed and malnourished have nothing to do with weight loss.
The bottom line therefore is to stay healthy one should avoid junk food and indulge in some form of physical activity daily. In most of the cases this will reduce the chance of getting obsessed and there will be no need to lose sleep over weight loss.
